SBC Microcontrollers are Single Board Computers that utilize 8, 16, and 32-bit microcontrollers versus microprocessors, which are typically used on x86 SBCs. Microcontrollers are usually defined by a microprocessor with the addition of general purpose I/O lines, Timer/Counters, PWM channels, A/D inputs, etc. all built into the same chip. These microcontrollers are ideal for data acquisition and control applications.
