The PCM-6240 Single-Board-Computer is powered by a Fanless 533 MHz VIA Mark Processor which is a high performance, cost-effective processor with integrated ProSavage4 SA graphics controller. The processor integrates VIA’s high-performance ProSavage4 3D / 2D graphics controller with LCD and Flat Panel display interfaces.

The PCM-6240’s South Bridge is PC98 / PC99 compliant with integrated UltraDMA-100/66/33 IDE, 2 USB 1.1 ports, Dual Ethernet and AC-97 link supporting digital audio functions. The PCM-6240 integrates S3 Graphics and 128-bit ProSavage4 graphics accelerators that bring mainstream graphics performance to the PCM-6240 with leading-edge 2D, 3D and DVD video acceleration as well as combining the industry’s first integrated AGP 4X solution with Microsoft Direct-X texture compression and massive 2Kx2K textures to deliver unprecedented 3D performance and image quality. In addition, two USB ports are available as well as one Parallel port (SPP/EPP/ECP modes), an UltraDMA – 100/66/3 EIDE port (which supports up to 2 IDE devices) and four RS-232 and two RS-232/485 serial ports. The numerous features provide an ideal price/performance solution for commercial and industrial applications where stability and reliability (no moving parts) are essential.
