PCM-36E05 PC/104 FAX MODEM

Introducing, the PCM-36E05 data/fax modem module with an additional RS-232 COM port. The PCM-36E05 incorporates the SmartSCM Single Chip Modem, which meets the ITU-T V.90 standard of 56K bps maximum data transmission speed and supports the G3 fax standard of 14.4 K fax transmission rate. The PCM-36E05 is also available in 33.6 Kbps and 14.4 Kbps data transmission speed versions.

The SmartDAA technology eliminates the need for a costly analog transformer, relays, and opto-isolators typically used in discrete DAA implementation. The SmartDAA operates reliably without drawing power from the line, unlike line-powered DAAs which operate poorly when line current is insufficient due to long lines or poor line conditions. In addition, the rugged industrial PC/104 form factor makes it a great fit for space-limited and harsh environment applications.
