EMAC INTRODUCES THE RUGGED SIB LINE

Carbondale, Illinois, October, 5, 2011 - EMAC, Inc., announces the Rugged Server-In-A-Box (SIB) line. The EMAC Server-In-a-Box line provides an embedded server that is capable of running virtually any Windows XP application program. Windows Embedded Standard is the componentized version of the leading desktop operating system, enabling rapid development of the most reliable and full-featured connected devices. Based on the same binaries as Windows XP Professional, Windows Embedded Standard enables embedded developers to individually select only the rich features they need for customized, reduced-footprint embedded devices. This operating system is very well suited for applications requiring a Graphic User Interface (GUI).

The Rugged SIB line is specially designed to live in harsh environments. No Fans, no Hard Drive, and a completely sealed case (with exception of Compact Flash access) allow the Rugged SIB line to survive under more strenuous conditions where other computers can't. The Rugged SIBs are just as comfortable in a basement wiring closet as they are on a desktop.

The Rugged SIB line contains units with Intel Atom N270 CPUs up to the Intel Atom D525, with features ranging from 2-8 COM Ports, 4-6 USB 2.0, CAN Interfaces, Wireless, Wide Temp, Wide Input Voltage, PCI, Mini-PCIe, Mini-Card, and much more!
