EMAC INTRODUCES THE NEW COMPACT SERVER-IN-A-BOX

Carbondale, Illinois, December 1, 2009 - EMAC, Inc., announces the New Compact Server-In-A-Box. The Compact Server-In-A-Box (SIB) is a space-saving design that incorporates a Fanless 1GHz CPU, 256MB DDR2 RAM (512MB optional), Compact Flash socket, Video, Ethernet, USB 2.0, audio, 2 RS232 serial ports, and can be configured with an optional wireless card and hard drive. The included Windows CE Operating System combines an advanced, real-time embedded operating system with powerful tools for rapidly creating the next generation of smart, connected and small-footprint devices. Alternatively Windows XP Embedded or Linux can be ordered optionally.

The compact SIB is specifically designed to provide the user with a highly reliable, space-saving (4.5" x 4.5" x 1.4") , low-cost embedded thin client. No fans, no hard drive, and a sealed case (with the exception of compact flash access), ensure that the compact SIB is a reliable and rugged solution for almost any application.
