The standard Linux 2.4 distribution has a footprint of approximately 6.5 Meg. (leaving over one Meg. of application space on an 8 MB . Flash Disk) and has all the features an embedded Linux user expects. EMAC offers Linux extension modules that can be incorporated into our standard distribution that adds functionality and utilities quickly and easily. From Apache to X-Window, these modules are tested and pre-configured. Once a custom distribution has been created, that distribution can be given a unique part number and kept as a disk image. Subsequent purchases of that part number are guaranteed to contain software identical to the original. Our standard Linux distribution is free with the purchase of an SBC and suitable media. Our extensions modules/custom distributions require only a one-time setup charge with the purchase of an SBC and can be installed on subsequent orders at no additional charge. ### |
